Helen Skelton – Halfway and already a record-breaker

Yesterday Helen Skelton passed the halfway point of her gruelling 2000 mile kayak down the River Amazon – all, of course, in the aid of Sport Relief.

There are a couple of nice pieces about it in The Sun and The Mirror this morning.

Even by paddling 1000 miles Helen has already become a record-breaker – tripling the record for the longest solo kayak and also for kayaking the furthest distance (75 miles) in a day.

It is a fantastic achievement and I hope everyone supports her over the next few weeks as she attempts to complete the second half of this amazing challenge. If you want to find out more about her challenge, donate or see what else Sport Relief has to offer then go to www.sportrelief.com now.
